When people think of a gaming desktop, they think of these towering machines that look alien in nature and cost a fortune. However, the reality is that you cannot be more wrong.

What are the benefits of getting a branded gaming desktop as compared to a custom one?
- The warranty is easy to claim as you just have to deal with one vendor for all of the components.

This is a pretty compact desktop so it should be easy to carry around. Of course the portability here is relative. You cannot expect it to handle like a gaming laptop.

It does have on M.2 socket for the SSD that already comes installed.
As far as the chipset and the socket is concerned, it supports the latest 7th generation Kaby Lake processors from Intel. It does not; however, have the support for Core Extreme processors. I know some of you perfectionist out there would get disappointed by the fact that it does not have a Core i7 processor.
Well first things first, you get what you pay for. Secondly, this is not a bad processor at all. Do not compare with the Core i5-processor of the same value in a gaming laptop because this is better by leaps and bounds.
The processor offers 3.00 GHz clockspeed per core and 6 MB cache.
Is this overclockable? No it is not, unfortunately.
The RAM on HP OMEN 870-251 is a bit lacking. If you are looking for a very high productivity then you have will have to definitely expand it.

Therefore, you can utilize SSD for frequently used apps and the operating system and you can use the HDD for larger files. 7200 RPM hard disks are significantly better than their 5400 RPM counterparts.
This is what it all boils down to. HP OMEN 870-251 packs the best AMD POLARIS graphic card that AMD RX 480 with 4 GB GDDR 5 RAM.
